Sports Premium Funding 2020 - 2021

Sports Premium Plans 2020-2021

The focus of this year’s funding will be the provision of additional opportunities for the children before, during and after school. In addition to this, we are purchasing the time of sports coaches to provide CPD for the staff to enable them to deliver high-quality PE. This is done through a cycle the teachers observing the coaches, working with them and then delivering the lessons themselves an receiving feedback on this.

Aims for 2020-2021

  1. To resume the Sports Premium programme as quick as possible, following the lockdown of March-July 2020.
  2. To continue to provide all Sports Premium clubs free-of-charge to every pupil
  3. To raise achievement in Physical Education through staff working with qualified coaches
  4. Further increase the number of children participating in at least one sport.
  5. Increase by 25%, the number of children participating in at least two sports.
  6. To introduce a Healthy Eating club (provided as part of the Huddersfield Giants partnership)
  7. To provide more opportunities for the children to do structured sports and games on the playground at lunchtime.
